Getting to El Panchan is easy. Once you arrive at Villahermosa airport you are just a couple of hours away from your destination. If you have time, stop off and check out the Olmec heads. If you don’t speak Spanish please bring a phrasebook with you. A lot of people down there don’t speak English.

Scheduled ADO buses go from Villahermosa to Palenque- this is the most comfortable way to get there. The bus terminal is a 25 minute cab ride (150 pesos) from the airport and bus tickets are 120- 126 pesos. You can buy your tickets in advance online.
At the Villahermosa airport terminal there is also a transport company called Esquema- they run vans ( that hold 6 people) every hour from 7:25 am till 9:25 pm direct from the airport to Palenque . It costs 224 pesos ( 20 $) per person and takes 2 hours
Once you are in Palenque town, El Panchan is just a short 5 minute cab ride into the jungle. You can catch a cab on the street and ask for El Panchan- they all know the way.
